Remote Operations Centre

This collaboration between Kraken Robotics and the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MI) is focused on the development of an onshore Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to support technology development and demonstration and skills development in the areas of autonomous technology and remote operations. During this project, Kraken will conduct technology demonstrations at The Launch that will be viewed in real-time from MI’s ROC and then processed onsite. The primary focus of this collaboration is the identification of the functional requirements for a ROC and establishing the centre to ensure that it supports long-term capacity building for the ocean technology eco-system in Newfoundland and Labrador.
